In true G-SHOCK style, the DW-5000R stays true to G-SHOCK origins and yet forges ahead with innovation at the same time. Inheriting the design concepts of the first-ever G-SHOCK, this updated take on the original incorporates current state-of-the-art Casio technologies to deliver todayƒ??s advanced functionality in a supremely faithful re-creation of the original iconic design.

Just like the first, the case is made of stainless steel, and the original band design, too, is reproduced down to the smallest detail ƒ?? length, form, and even the position of the dimples. The case size has been updated to 42.3 mm from the original 41.6 mm.

In a further nod to where G-SHOCK began and how far it has come, the bezel and band are, like the original, made with resin, but now bio-based. This material is expected to help reduce environmental impact.
