The GMW-BZ5000 carries forward the G-SHOCK evolution with an unprecedented design that taps into shock-resistance data gathered over 40 years of G-SHOCK testing and capitalizes on co-creation between human designers and AI. The very special GMW-BZ5000RC brings an extra touch of color to this transformation in generative structural and exterior design. 

The center case’s gradient rainbow ion-plated finish evokes the shifting nature of future energy, capturing the next step in the G-SHOCK evolution and transformation. Different finishes for individual components complement and contrast to exude a powerful sense of presence, with screws finished in gold-color ion plating and the glass surface treated with rainbow vapor deposition.   

The intricate, contemporary shape, seen from the side, highlights the design’s structural beauty. The bezel and metal center case are connected at the top and bottom, further accentuating the intricate, radiant beauty of the rainbow ion-plated center case’s form.  

Made of resilient resin, the internal protector temporarily deforms to absorb shocks, for a timepiece with a full-metal exterior that meets G-SHOCK shock-resistance standards. The stainless-steel case employs a screw-lock case back to ensure a tight seal. 

The high-definition MIP LCD embeds memory in each pixel to deliver exceptional readability with finer detail than conventional LCDs. Use the buttons to switch between four basic display modes and tap into the dedicated app to change the main display to CLASSIC for a traditional 7-segment look.
